MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --There was a monster matchup at Fiserv Forum Wednesday night, and plenty of fans and fanfare to match.
Marquette and UW women's volleyball teams went head-to-head in a matchup that brought record crowds to Fiserv in 2023.
Fans we spoke to Wednesday night hope all the hype will break the record again and grow the fan base for women's sports.
"This is one of the most entertaining sports, in my opinion, and everyone watches women's sports, so it's huge," said Lauren Grady, Marquette student. "If we can get this fan base up and the population up, everyone will start to watch."
We haven't heard word yet on how many people were at Wednesday night's game, but we saw lots of fans of all ages tailgating in Deer District.
