Fans excited for a new era for the Milwaukee Bucks

BMO HARRIS BRADLEY CENTER-- Many fans at BMO Harris Bradley Center turned out to Wednesday night's last home game of the season to mark a new era.

\"A new beginning for Milwaukee,\" said Jaycee Street.

Some fans bought last minute tickets to the game to celebrate the Milwaukee Bucks' potential new owners, Hedge Fund Billionaires, Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry.  Toby Garrick and his family were among them.

\"I think it's going to bring more or new life into the organization,\" said Garrick, regarding the sale, \"because a lot of fans are down because of the bad year.\"

The current and prospective owners pledged $200M toward a new arena.  Many fans are excited for this possibility, but there's a strong possibility public money will be needed to make it possible-- not everyone is happy about that.

\"As long as none of the citizens have to pay anything out of pocket, I think we'll be fine,\" said Jackie Garrick.

\"I think there's other people, other businesses, that could come out with the extra money and help out,\" said Street.

Although some worry what a new arena means to local taxpayers-- most people who attend games at BMO Harris Bradley Center will agree, the team is due for an upgrade.
