A family Christmas gathering erupted into gun violence when a 43 year old male was shot during an argument, according to Milwaukee Police. 

 Milwaukee Police responded to the report of a shooting at 4000 N 13th street around 8:40 PM.

Police said they discovered the victim suffering from a non fatal gunshot wound.

The victim was treated on scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department and was conveyed to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.

Circumstances surrounding the motive for the shooting are still being investigated.

MPD is currently seeking a known suspect.
