Faith, Hope and Love Duffel Bags bring comfort to kids in crisis

The CBS 58 News at 4 and 4:30 gives us the opportunity to do something traditional newscasts can't always do; give a voice and support to local groups trying to help our most vulnerable of citizens.

On Wednesday, CBS 58's Bill Walsh spoke live with Heather Lojeski  of Faith, Hope, & love Duffel Bags.

The group serves children of Racine County who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected; through duffel bags containing personal care and comfort items they can call their own.

Unfortunately most come with very little belongings besides the clothes on their backs.

If they have a few items, they are typically transported in a trash bag.

The group believes whatever these children have left of their self-worth should not be carried in a garbage bag; they deserve better!

A fundraiser is scheduled for May 7th at Fountain Vide Banquet Hall 8505 Durand Ave. in Sturtevant.

$30 pre-sale tickets for a wine tasting and silent auction. $35 at the door.
