UPDATE: JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Federal investigators will soon be on the ground after a plane crash Sunday in Jefferson County.
Authorities on the scene say the plane landed in the woods Sunday afternoon about a quarter mile short of the runway at the Palmyra Airport. County officials now say there were two people on the plane, a J3-Cub single engine aircraft.
Both of them survived the crash and are in the hospital. CBS 58 is working to learn their conditions.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The FAA says a plane went down less than a mile from the Palmyra Municipal Airport, near the Waukesha-Jefferson County border.
We're told there were two people on board the plane, a J3-Cub single engine aircraft.
The plane is registered to someone who lives in Palmyra. There is no word yet whether anyone was hurt or about what caused the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
