Extra concern in Hales Corners after fireworks mishap

HALES CORNERS-It was just last year when a fireworks technician was injured after a shell exploded inside the launch tube.

The mishap postponed the fireworks for a month.

One year later, members of the Hales Corners July 4th Committee say they are putting those unhappy memories behind them.

The community is still using Bartalotta Fireworks professionals for the 37th year, but there will be a different crew.

The committee also spent extra money for an even bigger show.

Things went off without a hitch. Many who gathered Friday night say it was one of the best shows they've seen.
