MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Wednesday, June 5 to preview some of the city's event highlights as we enter the second week of June.
Bayshore Town Center hosts the Family Flicks movie nights starting Wednesday, June 12. The series features pre-show activities and PG-rated films in The Yard. Movies include "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" on June 12, "Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat" on June 19, and "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" on June 26.
Discover Wauwatosa's ART 64 is a live performance painting tournament in the Village of Wauwatosa on Friday and Saturday, June 7 and 8. A total of 64 artists will compete in a bracket-style competition for a $20,000 prize. The event includes food, shopping, musical performances and children's activities.
Hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg will perform live at Potawatomi Casino Hotel on Saturday, June 15. Snoop a career spanning nearly three decades and is known for not only hit singles, but also films, television and other business ventures.
Franklin Field will host the Tacos and Tequila Festival on Saturday, June 22. The festival features performances by hip-hop artists Ludacris, Ashanti, Chamillionaire and others. Attendees can expect a tequila tasting lounge, taco chefs, margaritas, a chihuahua beauty pageant and lucha libre wrestling.
