EXCLUSIVE: Investigator in 1984 Traci Hammerberg Murder Sits Down with CBS 58 News

Investigator Amy Muehlbach of  Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department was a  special live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m.

She spoke at length about the 1984 Homicide of Traci Hammerberg.

December 15th marked the 31 year anniversary of the sexual assault and murder of Hammerberg,18.

Her partially clothed body was found in a rural driveway in the Town of Grafton.

After years of investigating and hundreds of people tested and interviewed, the people or person responsible for her death have never been located.

Ozaukee County Sheriff’s officials say a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the individual(s) responsible for Hammerberg’s death is being offered.

"For these past 31 years Traci’s family and friends have been haunted by not knowing who did this to her" the Police Department said on its facebook page. "The detectives continue to follow up on leads in their quest of justice for Traci. THERE IS SOMEONE IN THIS COMMUNITY WHO KNOWS INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CRIME. We are asking this person (s) to be courageous and do the right thing; come forward and tell your story. WE WILL NOT GIVE UP until the person(s) responsible for Traci’s death is brought to justice."
