End of the road in Green Bay? Mason Crosby's wife tweets he won't return to Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- We still don't know if Mason Crosby has played his last game in the green and gold but his wife says that may in fact be the case -- but then took it back.

On Twitter, Simone Biles -- whose husband Jonathan Owens just signed with the Packers -- asked for Green Bay recommendations.

Mason's wife, Molly, replied to that tweet saying, "we will miss you...we just ended a 16-year run with the team."

The tweet was then deleted and reposted without that line.

Crosby is a 38-year-old free agent.

In his 16 years in Green Bay, he is the franchise leader in points and games played.

The Packers did draft a kicker, Anders Carlson, in the draft.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said earlier this offseason, they aren't closing the door on bringing Mason back.
