Elkhorn police: Man asked 7-year-old to get in his car, help him find ‘lost puppy’

ELKHORN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Elkhorn Police Department received a report of an attempted child enticement that occurred Friday. 

It happened around 6 p.m. in the 1500 block of S. Meadow Lane.

It was reported that a 7-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy were playing outside when a small, red car pulled up next to them. A male driver asked the girl to get into the car and help him find his "lost puppy." The girl refused, and the car drove away. 

There is no further description of the driver available.
