Elkhorn Man Accused of Breaking Baby's Bones on Multiple Occassions

An Elkhorn man is accused of fracturing a 1-year-old’s bones during a bath.

Tafeon Hickembottom was charged with two counts of physical abuse of child.

According to the criminal complaint, Hickembottom was the boyfriend of the child’s mother.

He allegedly admitted to breaking the baby’s leg because the baby was squirming in the bathtub.

Children’s Hospital records said the child’s arm was fractured previously and in a separate incident the baby’s wrist was broken.

On all the occasions the mother told police she was not present when the injuries occurred.

She did tell police the defendant allegedly had anger issues and a month before the incident he shoved her during an argument.
