Elephant Rescues Caretaker from River

The co-founder of an elephant foundation showed just how loving and brave elephants can be with a mock rescue.

The CBS 58 News at 4 showed video from an elephant rescue park in Thailand.

It shows a caretaker pretending to drown and calling out for help and the elephant's name.

The elephant named "Kham Lha"  braved the river waters and went running to the rescue, even sheltering him with her trunk.

She's part of the "Save Elephants Foundation" which has rescued more than 70 elephants and houses them in a natural habitat park.
