Elderly Couple from Brookfield Involved in Fatal Crash

An elderly couple from Brookfield was involved in a fatal crash in Shawano County.

According to Wisconsin’s Department of Transportation, 2007 a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on State Highway 47, when it conducted a passing maneuver of a northbound 1991 Mack semi unit.

The Toyota entered a no-passing zone, and struck a southbound 2014 Ford Focus head on.

The collision between the two automobiles forced the northbound Toyota into the northbound semi unit, it had been passing.

The 84 year old male driver of the Toyota and 57 year old male driver of the Ford were deceased at the scene.

 An 81 year old female passenger of the Toyota was flown from the scene by Eagle III Flight for Life, to Saint Vincents Hospital in Green Bay, with life threatening injuries.

John Lindert, 84-years-old from Brookfield, died at the scene.

Donna Lindert, 81-years-old, suffered life-threatening injuries.  

The 61 year old male driver of the semi unit was not injured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating and reconstructing this crash.
