MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A national egg shortage has made eggs more expensive and harder to find in the United States, which is why Margaret Mittelstadt of Outpost Co-op discussed budget-friendly egg substitutes when she joined us on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Alternatives include flaxseed or chia seed mixed with water, plant-based prepared substitutes, applesauce, chickpeas, as well as tofu, which can serve as replacements in various recipes.
Outpost Co-op provides additional information by clicking here.
