MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A bar broken into after-hours on the East side, the thieves carrying out an entire safe.

The doors are still boarded up at The Garage.

Once the suspects got inside, they really didn't take what you'd expect from a bar. In fact, what they carried out didn't even belong to the bar's owner.

That's one of two suspects, captured on surveillance inside the bar, and that's the safe they ripped out of the wall.

"About that, just normal size safe," said Justin Kling, Owner of The Truck Stop and Roll MKE.

Justin Kling's still in shock, and really upset. His business lost more than $10,000.

"They came in here and they pried this door open. You can see it's got the security code on it so it's just not any normal door and they came through here, and yeah, pried the safe off the wall right here," said Kling.

Kling owns "The Truck Stop." They lease space from "The Garage," and serve food at the bar that's located at the busy corner of Brady and Arlington.

"I mean it's shocking that it happened anywhere, more or less here," said Kling.

Milwaukee police confirm the burglary happened Jan. 7, an hour before sunrise.

"This street's always pretty busy even in the morning hours," said Kling.

The Truck Stop's a division of Roll MKE which has three food trucks and a food cart you've seen at Summerfest, Bastille Days and Milwaukee Night Market.

"Number one is our tacos. We've won the Milwaukee taco fest three times," said Kling.

Kling tells us insurance isn't picking up nearly what was lost and that's concerning. This GoFundMe page is taking donations.

"I did my part you know; I had an office. I had a safe in it. It was a locked secure door with a security code on it," said Kling.

Donations made to Roll MKE's food trucks could get a menu item named in your honor for the week.

MPD said they continue to seek unknown suspects. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7360, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414)224-Tips/ or P3 Tips.
