MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Milwaukee County, Sheriff Earnell Lucas is on the job as the county's top cop.
Sheriff Lucas took his office chair after being sworn-in on Friday in a private ceremony. Milwaukee County's 65th Sheriff says he's ready to get to work.
"I know the job that lays ahead for me as Sheriff and this organization, but I'm confident, I'm very confident we're going to reestablish those relationships that for so long have been lacking," said Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas.
His goal is improve relationships and he's asking the public for feedback.
"I want people to know that they need to engage us and me so we can know what we are doing and what we need to be doing," Lucas said.

"Let everyone know we are here to serve and protect this community," Lucas said.
