Early AM house fire in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to an early morning fire this morning on the city’s north side.   The fire was reported in a home at N 26^th and W Hope Avenue around 4 AM.  The occupants of the 2-story house were able to evacuated the building unharmed.   According to authorities, the fire was confined to the first floor of the structure and was under control within 35 minutes.   The estimate of the amount of damage is not yet available and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
