Milwaukee police safely find critically missing 11-year-old girl
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A lot of drivers aren't taking any chances with the freezing temperatures.
They stopped by the Speedway on Layton Avenue in Milwaukee to fill up on Tuesday afternoon.
Conditions this hold can freeze your fuel lines and keep your car from starting.
James Fischer says his car will be outside all day on Wednesday and he wants a full tank of gas just to be safe.
"Usually I don't let mine drop below a quarter of a tank, but with the extreme temperatures below zero, half a tank is recommended," said James Fischer.
If fuel lines do freeze, adding fresh gas can help thaw them out.
Fuel line antifreeze can also help keep your car running when its this cold outside.
