GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 1-year-old child was injured after a pursuit and subsequent crash in the City of Glendale early Thursday morning, Aug. 27.

Police say squads attempted to stop a driver with a felony warrant in the 6400 block of N. Lake Drive just before 3 a.m.

The driver refused to stop, according to officials, and a pursuit was terminated after officers lost sight of the suspect.

The police department says shortly after, squads were notified of a rollover crash involving the suspect vehicle near N. Boyd Way and E. Portage Road.

The suspect ran from the scene, according to police, and officers found a 1-year-old child inside the car. The child was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Officers arrested the suspect, a 32-year-old Kenosha man, near N. Boyd Way and E. Calumet Road with the help of a police K-9 and several other police departments.

Authorities say charges of flee/elude, first degree reckless endangering safety, child neglect, and resisting/obstructing an officer will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
