DPW looking to improve safety for pedestrians, asking for public's input

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Department of Public Works wants the public’s input on walking in Milwaukee in an effort to create the city’s first Pedestrian Plan.

The goal is to make getting around the city safer and easier. It’s working with a group from UWM to study pedestrian crashes, driving and walking behaviors and city policies for improving safety for walkers.

Based on feedback from the community, the  DPW will include recommendations to make Milwaukee more pedestrian friendly.
