Downtown Road Closures Start at Noon Tuesday for GOP Town Hall Meeting
Starting at noon today some roads in Downtown Milwaukee will be closed ahead of the GOP Town Hall Meeting tonight at the Riverside Theater.
Roads around the Riverside Theater will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. There will be a full closure of Wisconsin Ave. in the east and westbound direction from 2nd St. to Water St. and Plankinton Ave. will be closed in the north and southbound direction from Michigan St. to Wells St.
If there are any vehicles parked on these streets after noon then they will be cited and towed.
The GOP Town Hall Meeting is a ticketed event and is sold out. Only those with tickets will be allowed to enter.
Parking will be in high demand today due to this event. Plan for extra time to get to your destination if your plans take you to the downtown area.
