One seriously injured following double shooting near 27th and Wright

Milwaukee, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Department is currently investigating an afternoon shooting that left two men injured.

The shooting happened around 12:20 p.m. on Friday near 27th and Wright.

According to police, an unknown suspect approached the first victim, a 41-year-old Milwaukee man, and shot him. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The second victim, a 39-year-old man, was also struck by gunfire. He took himself to a local hospital and is being treated for what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Milwaukee Police continue to search for a suspect and a motive.
