MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- 'Doggy Day,' an event aimed at dog lovers and their furry companions, is returning to the Deer District on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The second annual event aims to deliver a day filled with activities, food and entertainment for dogs and their owners alike.

Proceeds support pups in-need as they will go towards Winston's Wishes, an all-volunteer non-profit organization focused on helping dogs who may struggle in a shelter environment, as well as senior dogs and those requiring extra care.

Central Bark, a company offering a range of dog care services such as day care, salon and spa treatments and training, has joined forces with Winston's Wishes to create a memorable day for both two- and four-legged attendees.

The event will be free and open to the public at the Deer District. Local vendors, food and beverages will be featured, along with live entertainment and prizes.

All well-socialized, leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate in the activities planned throughout the day.

Updates and more information can be found by following Deer District on Facebook and Instagram at @DeerDistrict.
