Dog bites Kenosha Police officer and resident

A dog bit a Kenosha Police officer after biting a woman in the 1900 block of 76 Street after 2:30 PM on August 19.  
The incident involved a report of a loose dog which had allegedly bitten a woman and that the woman was bleeding.  
Once on scene, Officers were confronted with a dog that was biting a female citizen. One officer at the scene was also bitten by this same dog.  
Officers were unable to gain control of the dog which continued to attack, injuring at least one officer and the woman.  
Kenosha Police Officers shot and killed the dog to stop the attack and prevent further injuries. 
The injuries sustained by the officer were non-life threatening and the officer was treated and released. 
The woman received serious injuries and is currently being treated.
