Dog attacks, injuries deputy during domestic dispute investigation in Village of Lisbon

VILLAGE OF LISBON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Deputies at the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic violence dispute earlier Thursday, Jan. 1, along Oakland Rd. in the Village of Lisbon. 

While investigating, a 64-year-old man intentionally directed his dog towards a deputy and the dog bit the deputy causing them to use deadly force to stop the attack. 

The 64-year-old was taken into custody and later charged with battery to a law enforcement officer with use of a dangerous weapon. 

The deputy was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The incident is under investigation.
