Dodge Co. authorities investigating how 'discarded' BMW ended up in Rock River

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a vehicle was pulled from the Rock River Wednesday, June 9.

Officials say around 2:56 p.m., swimmers called 911 to report a submerged vehicle in the Rock River.

The Beaver Dam Fire Department Dive Team was called in and verified that the vehicle was unoccupied. 

A towing company responded and pulled the vehicle -- a discarded BMW 323 -- from the river. 

The sheriff's office is investigating how the vehicle ended up in the river.
