MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One of three men accused of shooting and killing a Milwaukee city worker last year learned his fate.

Deshaun Scott, 19, was sentenced to spend the next 30 years in confinement and another 15 years under extended supervision. Scott was found guilty of felony murder after appearing in court in May.

Police say back in March of 2017 Scott and his accomplices Eric Smiley and Qhualun Shaw approached Greg "Ziggy" Zyszkiewicz who was on the job near 23rd and Cherry in an attempted carjacking.

But the carjacking didn't go as planned and Zyszkiewicz was shot and killed.

All three suspects were later caught that day.

Ziggy's widow says she's satisfied with the sentencing but it won't change what's been done.

"There's no amount of time that would've satisfied me because it's not going to bring Greg back. But I'm happy that it's at least this. I'm happy with this," said Olga Zyszkiewicz.

The two others charged with Scott, Smiley, and Shaw, also face felony murder charges.
