Dense Fog Advisory Extended for SE Wisconsin

Dense fog and scattered rain showers moved into southeast Wisconsin Monday night. Most temperatures will remain just above freezing; however, Fond du Lac County will have a chance for some light freezing rain.

The freezing rain advisory started in Fond du Lac County Monday at 9 PM and goes through Noon on Tuesday. Ice accumulation should be very minor with most areas in the advisory experiencing a light glaze.

Bridges and overpasses will be the most susceptible for slick spots, so use caution while driving in these areas.

Dense fog was a big issue for many Tuesday morning with visibility of only a hundred feet or so at times.

Temperatures by the late morning should rise above freezing with just cold rain falling. Late in the afternoon some of the rain could mix briefly with snow pellets, but no accumulation or problems are expected.

A blast of cold air arrives for Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 20s.
