MILWAUKEE (CSB 58) -- Just a few days after President Joe Biden's visit to Milwaukee, democrats across Wisconsin are kicking off their "Barn Storming" campaign.
They're kicking off this day of action with phone calls and door knocking. In Milwaukee, County Executive David Crowley and Congresswoman Gwen Moore gathered with supporters at Art Bar in Riverwest to get people excited.
"I don't think folks understand that when I think of all the successes of Milwaukee County, I literally contributed to the Biden-Harris Administration. When you think about the largest push for affordable housing happening in suburbia since the 1930's, that is because of President Biden *claps* Absolutely," said Crowley.
Besides Milwaukee, democratic politicians canvassed in places like Eau Claire, Madison, Kenosha and Wausau.
CBS 58 reached out to the state Republican party about any future visits by Donald Trump of other GOP surrogates.
They said today is a national day of Action for the Republican party with door knocking and canvassing underway across the state.
And in an added statement: "Democrats can no longer hide from the overwhelming frustration of voters with the failed policies of the Biden-Harris Administration. No amount of campaigning can salvage the record of harm Bidenomics has inflicted on working families in Wisconsin.”
