MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Deer District is transforming into an art gallery for the annual "Morning Glory Art Fair" on Saturday, Aug. 14.
The nationally recognized show kicked off Saturday and features 135 talented artists from around the country. Artists submit their work and a jury of art experts select the most high quality pieces for the show.
After the event was canceled last year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, artists are glad to be back to show off their work.
"I think everybody's really excited to get back out at Art Fairs again," Artist Andrew Linderman said. "It's really nice for me as an artist to see people face to face in real life again and interact with them."
Morning Glory organizers have also established a partnership with UW-Milwaukee to highlight five emerging artists. All the work will be on display again Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the plaza of Fiserv Forum.
