Deer District Market makes a return to Fiserv Forum Plaza July 7-Aug. 25

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Deer District Market is making a return to the plaza at Fiserv Forum. 

The market, presented by the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, will be held Thursdays through the summer, with the first market set for July 7 from 4-7 p.m. 

“We’re proud to partner with Deer District Market and the Milwaukee Bucks to expand upon the success of last year’s inaugural market,” said David Olson, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Froedtert Health. “Our collective goal to support the diverse communities we serve and to build healthier communities is supported by the impressive mix of vendors and healthy food options available throughout the market.”

According to a news release, Deer District Market is produced by Arthur Ircink, creator of the Emmy Award-winning PBS show Wisconsin Foodie, which is going on 15 years of telling Wisconsin's amazing food stories from the ground to our plates. Ircink has worked as an entrepreneur in the Milwaukee area for the past 15 years and is also the publisher of local food magazine Edible Milwaukee. As one of the founders of the popular Shorewood Farmers Market in Estabrook Park, Ircink is fascinated with craft, process and promoting a local food economy.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Arthur Ircink and the Froedtert & MCW health network to continue to bring diverse experiences to Deer District,” said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development. “We are proud to showcase small businesses in Deer District while simultaneously promoting healthier lifestyles and supporting the local community.”

Vendors for this year’s market are Alice’s Garden Empress Baking Company, Delicious Bites, Teens Grow Greens, Slide Gourmet Potato Chips, That Salsa Lady, Bunny’s Bite, Pete’s Pops, Junior Smoked BBQ, DragonFly Farm LLC, At Peace Design, VIBEZ Creative Arts Space, Soul Brew Kombucha, Full Circle Healing Farm (formerly Scales Family Farm), Funky Fresh Spring Rolls, Triciclo Peru, Say It Louder, Rise and Grind Café LLC, A&M Provisions, Cottonmouth MKE, Meat on the Street and Gruber Law Offices.

The market will be open Thursdays beginning July 7 through August 25 from 4-7 p.m.
