Deadly Officer Involved Shooting in Jackson was Justified

This morning, a Jackson Police Officer is back on duty following a deadly officer involved shooting last month.

The Washington County District Attorney ruled the shooting justified.

Police were called to a home on Stonewall Drive back on July 1st.

When they arrived, they say they found 58-year-old Helmut Wihowski trying to slash a woman with a large knife.

When he wouldn't put the knife down, Officer Kyle Henning opened fire.
