Deadline to complete 2020 Census approaching

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The deadline to complete the 2020 Census is approaching.

Residents must submit their response before the end of the day on Wednesday, September 30.

The Census happens every 10 years as the government sets out to tally people of all ages and backgrounds. The data will be used to help determine the allocation of $675 billion federal funds each year. It helps support education, housing, health programs and more.

Wisconsin receives and average of $12.6 billion. The data will also determine how many seats Wisconsin has in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Census can be completed on My2020Census.gov or by calling 1-844-330-2020.
