MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Day of the Dead or Dias de Muertos celebrations continued at Zocalo Food Park where catrinas or skeletons walked the streets of Milwaukee's south side.
"We all experience death," said Dias de Muertos organizer Sonia Erica. "It's very important that we have a space where we can celebrate it, be together and remember those that came before us and celebrate them."
Organizers say it was a way to share their culture with the community, offering altar-making workshops, a market, face painting and even a parade with people dressed as cartinas.
All as a way to honor the dead.
