Dashcam footage released after suspect slams into State Trooper in Dodge County
In a matter of seconds, a Wisconsin State Trooper involved in a high-speed chase became the target of the person he was chasing.
"Guys, he just hit my car. He just rammed my car."
State Trooper Randy Kind was trying to track down the car in Horicon, in Dodge County.
Police say the man behind the wheel, a 21-year-old from Menomonee Falls, weaved in and out of traffic in an attempt to get away.
When he realized that wouldn't work, he hit the brakes and slammed into reverse.
Officials say it's a reminder of how dangerous the roads can be.
"You need to be prepared at all times because when you're dealing with people, anything can happen at any given situation."
Trooper Kind pulled out his taser but officials say he never used it.
Some witnesses jumped in to help corral the man.
His name has not yet been released.
