Dane County Sheriff's Deputies investigating after fight allegedly leads to stabbing

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A stabbing in the Village of Blue Mounds is currently under investigation.

It happened at 2:53 a.m. on Monday.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the victim was stabbed inside an apartment after the suspect was allegedly brought home by another roommate. The suspect and the man who brought him home were allegedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. 

The victim asked the suspect to leave when the suspect allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen.

The suspect then fled the scene and was later taken into custody at his own residence.

He has been identified as 55-year-old Timothy Foley and is charged with 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
