Cudahy High School staff member charged with sexual assault of student
CBS 58 CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Cudahy High School staff member is facing two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child following a student's report to school officials Monday, Dec. 9.
Demetrian Carr, a 28-year-old man living in Milwaukee, is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student on two occasions in 2023, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday, Dec. 12. Carr worked as a paraprofessional support staff member with intellectually disabled students at Cudahy High School and has since been placed on leave.
According to the complaint, the student told investigators Carr contacted her via Snapchat in early 2023 when she was a freshman and he was 25. The student said Carr warned her not to tell anyone about their communication or he could get in trouble, according to the complaint.
The student told investigators Carr picked her up on two separate occasions and drove her to locations in Milwaukee County where they had sex, the complaint states, with one incident having taken place at Wilson Park on S. 20th St. and another near the airport on S. Howell Ave.
During a mirandized interview, Carr initially denied seeing the student outside of school but later admitted to meeting her twice, according to the complaint. Carr denied having sex with the student, then said it happened once during the second meeting.
