Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Well-known photographer gunned down outside Milwaukee lounge
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are asking for help finding the person who killed a highly respected local professional.
He was a well-known member of Milwaukee's community -- a photographer, father and husband, gunned down outside of a local lounge.
Now, Milwaukee Crime Stoppers is hoping you'll come forward to help solve this case.
Robb Smith's wife says he was at Mr. J's Lounge on Fond du Lac Avenue Dec. 19.
He stopped there on the way home from taking pictures at a Sweet 16 party.
Around 1 a.m., police got to Mr. J's Lounge and found Smith laying on the ground. He'd been shot several times.
The 32-year-old died a short time later.
Zena Smith says their family has no answers and she's begging the community to come forward.
"You have to come forward because it's just the right thing to do. As a community, we can't hold things like this in. We have to be able to say what we saw. We just have to know as a family what happened to Robb. We don't know if this was a robbery or a carjacking, he had a vehicle that was of interest to some people, but we are not exactly sure."
If you know anything about what happened to Robb Smith on Dec. 19, or if you have information about any crime, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.
