KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Students at Bradford High School held a candlelight vigil Friday night for their classmate Kaylie Juga.
The 16-year-old girl was shot and killed Thursday.
Police have Martice Fuller, 15, in custody for the shooting.
Officers say Fuller also shot Juga’s mother, who is in the hospital seriously injured.
The search for Fuller lasted about 16 hours, ending when he surrendered himself at his cousin’s Racine home.
"I was telling him you don't have that much time to wait,” Annshaniece Andrews, Fuller’s cousin, said. “You have to turn yourself in. I convinced him to call this number, tell them you're here and just cooperate."
Andrews says Fuller showed up at her door unannounced Thursday night.
"I've been trying to be put together,” she said. “I'm trying to get some rest. I've been up all night checking on my family."
Police say Fuller was Juga’s ex-boyfriend.
Andrews says she doesn’t know where her cousin got a gun.
Police have yet to find a weapon.
