Sunken Port Milwaukee workboat pulled from water
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has a plan to preserve nine MCTS bus routes that were supposed to be eliminated this year because of the county board’s budget cuts.
MCTS should use a one-time projected surplus of $481,000 to fund the routes.
It’s due to higher than anticipated revenue from the vehicle registration fee.
MCTS took the biggest hit of all departments from the County Board’s budget cuts.
They had to cut nearly $900,000 from their operating budget.
