Students are returning to class at Bradford High School in Kenosha after one of their fellow classmates died in a stabbing last week.
There are additional counselors on hand at Bradford for both students and staff. Some of them say this ongoing investigation has been a distraction.
The suspect, 15-year-old Timothy Carson, was in court Friday.
According to the criminal complaint, the crime was fueled by an incident that happened over spring break involving a girl.
Court documents state Carson and the victim met at this Kenosha Park last week to fight. There, he pulled a gun on the victim.
Carson's family says this is a case of self-defense.
Carson faces up to 60 years in prison. He is expected back in court on May 12th.
