Cops and Bobbers Bringing a Sense of Community and Inclusion to Children in Menomonee Falls

Arch Pow Wow Camp for kids and adults of varying abilities hosted a very special event Tuesday that brought local law enforcement in contact with children who face physical challenges.

Each officer was assigned a camper to help them reel in the big catch.

The "Cops and Bobbers" event was about so much more than the beloved sport, but also about building community relations that can last a lifetime.

"Some of our kids, seeing a police officer might be scary for them," explained Andrea Frisch, Camp Pow Wow Director. "This is a great way to bridge the gap. And make sure that if there was an emergency situation, our campers can be relaxed among police officers."

Camaraderie, service and inclusion all coming full circle in Menomonee Falls.
