Community Members Call for Body Camera Footage to Be Released from Shooting
Thursday morning a few blocks away from the ATF sifting through debris, groups called for that videos expedited release to first the family then the community.
"We in no way want to complicate the DOJ investigation but it is imperative that there is transparency with the family and the community for this case. Without transparency and the release of the body cam video this community cannot, I repeat, this community cannot work to fully heal and move forward in the positive way,” said Marta De La Rosa, Wisconsin Jobs Now.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice is the agency in charge of this investigation has indicated that that video's release will not happen soon.
In a recent statement they shared concerns that the videos release may affect their investigation.
