Catholic Memorial High School holds 12th annual Crusader Day
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local business and community leaders gathered at Fiserv Forum Wednesday for the 2025 Breakfast of Champions.
It's the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin's annual fundraising event.
This year's theme is "Empowering Leaders, Celebrating Legends."
Seyoum Mengesha, Jeff Cannady, and Melissa Blue Muhammad were the honorees.
The president and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin says this event is important for a few reasons.
"It makes sure we have the support we need to be able to be a resource to the community," said Nikki Purvis, African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin. "But it also gives us opportunity for business leaders in the community to come together and celebrate the excellence of Black businesses."
Proceeds from the Breakfast of Champions will support the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin.
