AT&T teams up with Compudot to help narrow 'digital divide' in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Known as the 'digital divide,' millions of Americans still struggle having reliable access to the internet on a daily basis.
In Milwaukee, a communications company did its part to help narrow that gap.
AT&T alongside Compudot, provided 50 refurbished laptops to students attending Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC).
The school's president, Anthony Cruz, believes this donation will go a long way towards success in the classroom.
"Any time you can get a laptop and be able to do your classwork wherever you are is a great help to our students," said Cruz.
Laptops weren't the only donation the school received.
AT&T also announced they would be contributing $25,000 to MATC's Integrated Education and Training program.
