Denita Ball will become Milwaukee County’s next sheriff
Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick famously took a knee to take a stand.
Supporters of the quarterback followed suit, including a group in Milwaukee.
"He pretty much shut the naysayers up and he pretty much showed up and showed out and done everything he says he's going to do," Supporter Marie Crawford said.
They came out to 'Stand with Colin' in Sherman Park Monday afternoon. This in solidarity with a similar protest in New York City today.
Kaepernick's supporters believe he's had trouble signing with an NFL team because he's been so vocal on social issues, especially police brutality.
Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers.
According to ESPN, he did pay a visit to the Seattle Seahawks.
