Cold start to a rather pleasant Memorial Day weekend

It's been a downright miserable day across southeast Wisconsin with clouds, drizzle, and a strong NE wind. Thankfully the drizzle is coming to an end with clouds slowly starting to dissipate in our northern counties.

Clouds will continue to break apart from north to south through the evening with clear skies expected overnight. With winds tapering off to 5-15 mph, temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s away from the lake and low 40s inland.

Best chance for patchy frost tonight is in Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Jefferson counties where a Frost Advisory is in effect through 7am Saturday. Cover up those plants just to be safe!

After a cold start to the day, temperatures will rebound nicely to around 60° lakeside and low to mid 60s inland with abundant sunshine. However we'll still have a wind off the lake at 10-15 mph.

Temps will warm a little bit each day of Memorial Day weekend with everyone getting back to around 70° on Memorial Day itself. While we'll likely make it through the long weekend without any rain, we can't rule out a pop up sprinkle during the afternoon on Memorial Day.
