Clement scores 3 touchdowns in return in Badgers rout

Corey Clement finally took the field, and took out nearly two months of frustration in the process.

Clement, playing for the first time since the season opener against Alabama, ran for three touchdowns and more than ten yards per carry as the Badgers trounced Rutgers 48-10 Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Joel Stave threw for 217 yards for Wisconsin (7-2), the 16th game Stave has thrown for 200 or more yards in his Badgers career. John Stocco holds the school record for 200-yard passing games with 17. Wisconsin also gained 209 yards as a team on the ground, the first time this season that Wisconsin has rushed and thrown for 200 or more yards in the same game.

Clement had been patiently waiting on the sideline after having sports hernia surgery, and later dealing with a groin injury. But he returned in time to keep the Badgers in the hunt for a 10-win season, something they can achieve with wins in the final three regular season games.
