Classes cancelled at Frank Lloyd Wright Middle School following bomb threat

Students at Frank Lloyd Wright were participating in a planned fire drill this morning when a bomb threat was received via telephone at approximately 10 a.m.

School administrators followed the emergency protocol plans, the police were contacted, and their drill was revised to an evacuation drill.

All students and staff are safe.

The classes are being canceled for the remainder of the day.

Students will be supervised at Mitchell Elementary School and dismissed at 3 p.m. unless they're picked up by a parent or guardian.

All evening sport/activities are canceled at Frank Lloyd Wright Middle School..

The WAWM School District released a press release that stated "The District treats every threat very seriously and will continue to do so in the future. The District will pursue criminal charges and restitution for costs incurred as a result of school disruption in these cases. As the District cooperates fully with the West Allis Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office, the perpetrator may face felony charges and jail time as a result of their actions. The safety of our students and staff is a priority of the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District."
