MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee kids got to check out the city's big rigs at Red Arrow Park on Saturday, May 18.
For the third straight year, Downtown BID 21 and the city hosted 'Big Truck Day.' It gives families the chance to get inside dozens of city trucks.
Including excavators, street sweepers, fire trucks, police cars and more.
Each vehicle has someone there to show the kids how they work, and of course, honk the horns.
"Something that we really believe in firmly is that downtown is for everyone and so when we see families and people from all over Milwaukee coming into the heart of downtown Milwaukee, that's what makes this such a beautiful day. So, for us, this is meaningful because it's a celebration of the work done by our city as well as the many families that make up beautiful Milwaukee," said Erica Green, Director of Public Space Initiatives, Milwaukee BID #21.
